The Flicker Of Fear – [d]arc Awards 2024

A movie experience like never before…

 

 

For months, we have been working hard to create an 80’s inspired art light installation in line with this year’s [d]arc awards theme. However, we didn’t want to go for a stereotypical neon extravaganza, instead we opted for something equally as spectacular but with a spooky surprise.

 

Along with the talented ARUP Designers, we created an 80’s inspired living room featuring vinyl wood panelled walls, authentic 80’s box TV, VHS tapes, 2-way mirror and more. This was to replicate the home cinema experience of the day but with additional elements to give the scare factor.

 

The Kingfisher Team synced a specially devised video sequence with a DMX light show, all triggered at the push of a button by the viewer.  The audio visual experience took the viewer on a journey through 80s horror films, with a few twists and turns along the way. We used Arcluce’s RGBW KRION-IN’s along with the TITO 90 to create this scare-fest.
