World Photography Day - Lighting in Photography

The 19th of August marks World Photography Day, celebrated across the globe for the milestones and historic breakthroughs made in photography.

 

Kingfisher works with many photographers across the country who capture the true essence of our projects. Their beautiful imagery is what allows us to showcase the very best of our work and we are eternally grateful.

 

Photography and lighting go hand-in-hand, lighting is vital to photography in a couple of ways:

 

• Lighting highlights the architecture and brings architects' visions to life after dusk. It is vital to draw attention to key features of a design, especially projects that are in the public domain and intended to be enjoyed by the community.
• Flicker-free lighting aids the quality of the photo, as it limits distortion. This is effective for both video and still imagery; it is especially useful for long-exposure and night-time photography.
